How to Enable/disable Hibernate in Windows 7

This tutorial will show you how to how to Enable/Disable Hibernate in windows 7. If you disabled this option so Hibernation file will be delete, by default this file take same size of your system installed RAM.
If you enable Hybrid or Hibernate sleeping mode option from advanced power plan option so Hibernate option will show in your start menu.

Step by Step Configuration

Firstly we demonstrate how to Enable Hibernate in windows 7.

Step (a) 1

Open Command Prompt.

In command prompt, you just type powercfg -h on and then press Enter.

Open Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items, and then click on Power Options.

When you click on Power Options, select Power Saver option and then click on Change Plan Settings.

In All Control Panel Items -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings
You just set Turn Off the Display time duration and another option Put the computer to sleep time duration according to your need.

Or

You can set this from Advanced power settings options, so for this you need to click on Change advanced power settings link.

In Advanced Settings + the Sleep option and then set the Hibernate Enable.

Secondly we demonstrate how to Disable Hibernate in windows 7.

When you click on Power Options, select Balanced (recommended) option and then click on Change Plan Settings.

In All Control Panel Items -> Power Options -> Edit Plan Settings
You just set Turn Off the Display “Never” and set “Never” in put the computer to sleep.
