Allow or Block Games in Parental Control

This tutorial will allow you to Allow or Block Games using parental controls in Window 7

Step 1

From Start -> Control Panel (All Items view), and click on Parental Controls option.

Step 2

If User Access Control option appears, click Yes option.

Step 3

List of standard user account will appear select any one of the user for parental control to set time limits on.

Step 4

In above case parental control is off, turn on Parental Controls for the standard user account.

Step 5

As Parental Control is on, all option in Window section settings will be enabled, click on the Games option

Step 6

A game controls screen will appear. Block Games for the Selected Standard Account, select No for option Can admin play games?

Step 7

• Block Games by Age Rating for the Selected Account , select Yes for  “Can admin play games” in above screen shot

In Block (or allow) games by rating and content types section, click on the Set game ratings

• A game restriction screen will appear, If a game has no rating, can admin play it? select  allow or block games with no rating.

• In section, Which ratings are ok for admin to play? select ratings level.

Step 8

• To Block Games by Content for the Selected Account. In section, Can admin play games? select Yes option.

• Click Set Game Rating, Under Block these types of content, check all of the content types that you want to block.

Step 9

• To Block or Allow Specific Games for the Selected Standard Account, Select Yes for, Can admin play games?

• In Section, Block (or allow) any game on your computer by name, click on the Block or Allow specific games link.

• List of games on your computer will appear; select either use User Rating Setting, Always Allow, Always Block to control access for each game.

Step 10

Click Ok when done, Close the Parental Control Window.
