How to Change Themes in Windows 7

Themes adds beauty to your operating system,this topic will allow user to change, create, and modify themes for window 7. Following step can be followed

Step by Step

Step 1

Right click anywhere on the desktop and click Personalize option

Step 2

The screen is divided into three sections .i.e. My Theme (themes downloaded from internet), Aero Themes (System high graphics themes), and Basic & High Contrast Theme (System Low Graphic Themes)

Step 3

Click themes available from any sections, the selected theme will be displayed as your desktop background.

Step 4

Create Custom Theme

You can also change the desktop background after few minutes by applying slide-show settings. You can select one or more picture manually, or press Select All button to pick all pictures

Picture Position, change picture every few minutes & shuffle to select random picture can also be selected & press Save changes button.

Step 5

You can also select color from the screen below to change the Window Color and Appearance settings & press save changes button.

Step 6

Sound can also be changes, you will press Sounds in first screen the pop-up will appear, and you can now select any desired sound. Press Apply and OK button

Step 7

You can also apply screen saver settings, click screen saver option. A screen will appear, select the desired screen saver and make changes in other fields accordingly. Press Apply & Ok buttons.

Step 8

To save the unsaved themes or to save the custom made theme after applying sounds, desktop background, mouse pointer, screen saver change. Press Save theme button a pop up will appear type the desired name for theme.

Note: You can also access save theme option by right click on desired theme

Save theme for sharing option will allow user to share the selected theme over the network & place it in home group library.

Step 9

You can also delete the desired theme.
