How to install IIS on Window 7

For ASP.NET framework, you need to install IIS (internet information server) on your window 7 operating System. Following steps can be followed to install IIS.

Step by Step

Step 1

From Start -> Control Panel-> program option

Step 2

In Program & Feature section, click “Turn Windows feature on or off “option.

Step 4

In Turn Windows feature on or off option, select Internet Information Services. You can check required options in sub-tree. Press Ok button will show a progress bar which may take few minutes.

Step 5

Type \\localhost in Internet explorer, default webpage showing IIS 7 will be shown
